Ladies President's message

Well, here we are again. It's 2022 and we are preparing for our Outdoor Season.  Hopefully it will exceed our expectations and we can once again enjoy a summer free of restrictions. Though I must urge everyone to still take care.

This will be my third and final year as Ladies President and I warmly thank all Officers of North Essex for their help and support during which may have turned out to be the strangest three years in the history of our County Bowling Federation. It has been an honour to represent the County and I send my best wishes to you all for this year and many more years to come.

We had great success in National Competitions last year at Skegness. Well done to all who represented our County and I hope that this year we can emulate those achievements.  Good luck to everyone who has entered competitions. We know that not everyone can be the winner but if played with the correct attitude even losing a good game can be enjoyable. Well, so they tell me !!!

My thanks go not only to Sudbury Bowls Club for their support but to all of the Clubs in the Federation and their members for their help and support during my term of office. The work that is put into Clubs both on and off the green all year, every year so that we can all enjoy our game is commendable.

My best wishes go to Ken as Men's President and Nick as Men's Vice-President continuing in their roles for the coming year. We also welcome Jean Shaw as Ladies Vice President, and I am sure that everyone will help to make this an enjoyable year for her.

Finally, I would like again to wish everyone a very happy, healthy and enjoyable year and hope to see you all very soon.

Stay Safe

Eileen Parker
